Maharashtra Board for Higher & Secondary Education (MBHSE) Evolves into MBHS Educational Foundation
The Maharashtra Board for Higher & Secondary Education (MBHSE), established in 2010 under the Parliament Act by two visionary educators, announces a significant transition in its operational framework and identity. This change comes as a response to the challenges faced by the Board in recent years, including the unauthorized issuance of certificates due to a security breach.
Background:
In 2019, the MBHSE faced an unprecedented challenge when its website was compromised, leading to the unauthorized distribution of over 1500 fake certificates. This serious security breach necessitated the shutdown of the Board’s website in 2020, as part of our comprehensive efforts to address the issue and protect the integrity of our certification process.
Board Meeting Decision – A New Chapter:
Recognizing the need for a comprehensive overhaul, the Board convened a meeting on November 11, 2021. The outcome was a unanimous decision to reestablish and rename MBHSE as the MBHS Educational Foundation. This strategic move marks a new chapter in our journey, reinforcing our commitment to upholding educational standards and integrity.
Introducing the MBHS Educational Foundation:
The MBHS Educational Foundation will oversee the operations of the Maharashtra Board for Higher & Secondary Education. This transition reflects our dedication to innovating and adapting in the face of challenges, ensuring that we continue to serve our stakeholders effectively.
New Certificate Format from April 2022:
In line with our commitment to prevent further issues of plagiarism and unauthorized distribution, we have introduced a new format for certificates starting from the April 2022 examinations. These certificates feature enhanced security measures, designed to safeguard against forgery and maintain the high standards of credibility associated with our Board.
Looking Forward:
We are diligently working to resolve the issues from the past and start anew with a stronger, more secure foundation. The establishment of the MBHS Educational Foundation is a testament to our resilience and adaptability. We are confident that these changes will pave the way for a brighter, more secure future for our educational system.
“We thank our students, educators, and stakeholders for their unwavering support and understanding during this transition. Together, we look forward to a new era of excellence in education under the MBHS Educational Foundation.”
